The client
Marlota Ltd is a fast-growing UK brand based in Radcliffe, Manchester, supplying packaging, shipping labels, thermal till rolls, printer paper and disposable cups to businesses and households nationwide. Alongside Amazon and eBay, the brand needed its own online store to sell direct, build trust and offer bulk pricing.
What the store needed to do
- Present eight product categories clearly, from A4 paper to food containers.
- Let buyers choose pack sizes — from 20 rolls up to a full 1,600-roll pallet — on a single product page.
- Put delivery promises front and centre: free UK delivery, same-day dispatch before 4pm and free next-day pallet deliveries.
- Give customers accounts, a cart and a secure checkout.
What we built
A custom PHP storefront on CodeIgniter with a Bootstrap 5 interface in Marlota’s purple and gold brand colours. A mega menu and category cards make every range quick to reach, while product cards show prices, discount badges and quick add-to-cart.
Product pages combine image galleries, pack-size selectors and trust messaging such as free returns and doorstep return collection. Checkout runs through PayPal, and the store includes customer accounts, a newsletter sign-up with a first-order offer, WhatsApp chat, and complete shipping, returns, privacy and terms pages. The About page also introduces Marlota’s 3PL fulfilment service for other sellers.
